Nimbus Latitude Ki
Women's Specific$269.95
As the daughter of the sea and mother to the “god of air and storms,” the Mesopotamian goddess Ki was believed to have balanced the forces between earth and sky. In Eastern practices Ki is also associated with power, energy, and strength. We believe our Nimbus Latitude Ki pack is ready to create a new experience of balance, power and comfort. With the help of backpacking goddesses from around the country, we have paired an innovative feminine pack design with a women-tested, women-specific harness that provides unsurpassed comfort. The Nimbus Latitude Ki is designed to offer women - and anyone else who cares to try it - unparalleled comfort and ease of use. The Ki includes two low profile side stretch pockets for ‘must-haves’ that need to be easily accessible. With our full front loading Latitude Feature, the Ki can be zipped open from the top or bottom so gear can be reached regardless of its position in the pack. The simple, streamlined loading system combined with internal compression and an internal “Hidden Lid” keeps contents organized and secure.

Latitude Packs
An innovative front loading system that evolved from our FZ Access feature but takes it to a new level. The zippered stretch panel with waterproof YKK zippers can open from the top or bottom, allowing you to quickly get to your gear from both ends. A system of internal compression straps holds the gear in place when the panel is open. Front compression straps allow you to lash gear externally. A hidden lid with a foam padded bottom and drawcord closure is clipped in at the packs top; to hold essentials you need quick access to. Unclip the hidden lid to bring it with you into the tent.

What torso length should I get?
To find your torso length, measure the distance between your seventh cervical vertebra and the shelf of your hipbones. Do this by standing up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Tilt your head forward and place your hands on your hips, thumbs to the back. With a flexible tape, have someone measure from the most prominent vertebra at the base of your neck to an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs. This will be your torso length.

Nimbus Torso Lengths
Short Torso 14” to 18”
Regular Torso 18” to 22”
NOTE: Each framesheet has fine adjustment settings spaced in one inch increments to further fine-tune your fit. If you are an 18” torso try the short torso first.
What size hipbelt?
Our Light Pack Belt has a single pivot point attachment, hip stabilizer adjustment straps, dual density foam, and a high-density plastic exoskeleton that forms a wishbone shape to cup around your hip crest and add load bearing support. When fit properly, this exoskeleton forms an effective "wrap" around your hips which helps to keep the belt positioned right where it needs to be to effectively transfer weight. This belt is standard equipment on all our light packs.

Fitness Gear Travel Review
Granite Gear Nimbus Latitude Ki
My first impression when I saw the Ki pack was "Wow, that's different.” Once I used the pack, I realized that what makes it visually unique also makes it highly functional. Granite Gear has taken a unique approach to creating a mid-sized backpack by using their expertise in compression to solve a lot of the problems I've suffered using traditional packs.
